Hello and welcome to my webpage about this incredible game i have been playing for some years
now. This is in now way, shape or form the official way to play, just the way we do it.
The rules are pretty complex (depending on how many of them you want to bring in to your game) - and you will not learn them here.
Here you will find a short story on the game, who I play with and a list of scoring hands with their scores. Even though the game is best played with real tiles and real (not imagined) friends around a table, there are some links to software houses, who are offering decent software versions of Mah Jongg.
Mah Jongg can even be played live on the internet with unknown players of various skills from a dedicated server or you could play it with three others using tcp/ip protocol - this is where the imagined friends are applicable :)
I think the real value here is the graphical presentation of the hands. The rest is really unimportant - and you would be better off reading the rules for the game anyway. It would please me a great deal, should the hands be of any value to your game. After all it took a while to do it :)
Go browse the internet for more info or check out the usenet group on Mah Jongg (rec.games.mahjong).
